I decided to start decluttering my apartment, too. I had a problem with some pests in my apartment back in August, so all of my crap was in big black trash bags. I decided to try out space bags… and, woo, do they work. Such a space saver.
My only tip is be VERY CAREFUL on how much you pack into one. If you put too much at the top it can stress the bag. I found this out the hard way… but it was only when I was zipping the bag, so maybe I just got a piece of junk. I’m taking it back tomorrow, and hopefully Wal-Mart will replace it. Well, they will, because they don’t care.
Anyway, space bags are pretty amazing, just handle with care and you’ll save tons of space!
My parents bought a small, round table for me to put in my apartment. My dad and I brought it this past Tuesday, then it got set up. I don’t have much space but it’s nice to have somewhere to sit and eat. Now i just have to convince my roommates to get rid of their junk that’s cluttering the room.
Yesterday I went to World Market and used a gift card one of my friends gave me for some place settings for my table. I ended up getting some really nice wooden bamboo place mats, cloth napkins, coasters, and metal rings for my napkins. Makes it nice… apart from the junk.
