I enrolled in the culinary arts program at AVMC (soon changing to UAV) in December of 08. I’m currently one module down and am finishing my second. I am taking the certificate program and will be done in July of 09. I’m enjoying it immensely. This is my dream and I am so happy to be living it.

How I did it: After months of thinking and wondering, I finally decided to do what I wanted to do and enroll myself in culinary arts at a local college. I'm not done, I still have 6 months. But I'm loving every second I spend in class. Read how I did it…
is so much more freeing than I ever thought. I think that I was too afraid before to learn exactly what type of person that I am. For years I was terrified that my father had tainted me. Now I know that I’m nothing like my father. I’m my own person and I’m pretty damn awesome lol. I’m still learning more. And each time I learn something I like myself even more. I don’t know why it’s taken so long to do this, but no matter how long it takes, this is worth doing.
since I last my last entry on this goal and I am actually making progress on this goal!
I have been wearing baggy clothes since I was about 14 years old. And then I was still relatively thin. The last time I wore a tank top was when I was 18. I still wore an overshirt but it was usually unbuttoned. But I stopped doing that when I got super self-conscious.
In the last month I have actually started feeling good about myself and the way I look. I started wearing makeup again (for myself because I wanted to), I started wearing clothes that weren’t as baggy, I actually purchased and wore a v-neck fitted sweater (normally I don’t wear anything even slightly low-cut) and I started wearing tank tops with unbuttoned over shirts again.
All my co-workers have said they have noticed a HUGE difference in me since I first started a month ago. They even said that I am carrying myself straighter and taller.
Last week I realized that my clothes were becoming too loose. I have not done anything different (with the exception of some more walking) and suddenly weight is just coming off. I am currently buying clothes that are 2 almost 3 sizes smaller then I was wearing.
I’m still very large. But I’m so much happier and I’m really starting to FINALLY love myself and see the positive in my body and features.
I hope everyone else is doing well =)
