This year would have marked my 5th anniversary with my estranged husband. We are still fully married. Our prenupt involved agreeing that marriage being a one time thing for us, having really only one kick at the can, we vowed not to grant each other a divorce, ever. So, here we are, four years later, apart, and as I still love an respect him, I understand we are not meant to be ‘together’ together. Every August 18th was a time of dread for me, generally booze soaked and saccharine.
This year everything changed. My best friend and I decided to hold a ‘platonic-union-ceremony’. We dressed in our finest, had certificates and an officiant, and although not legally binding vowed our undying friendship to one another. There was a small outdoor service and a lovely cocktail reception that followed. She wore a fancy tuxedo dress and I wore an informal war era cream coloured gown and veil. We had matching bouquets and exchanged rings. From now on I do not have to think of August 18th as my wedding anniversary (with a matching tattoo to remind me), but rather my ceremony in which my best friend took the time to trade one sad memory for a new fabulous one.

How I did it: After five years of teaching in the public school system I feel that I am finally comfortable enough to call myself a great teacher. Hopefully I can stay that way! Remember, we all have our good days and our bad days, and we can't do it all, but we can be our absolute best!I love my job. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Oh for heaven's sake I just wrote this long entry and my computer ate it.He knows many commands, and even my obediance training mother couldn't believe how well mannered he was when she took care of him while I was on vacation.TOTALLY WORTH IT! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Through workshops in the city I use to live in I was able to make some contacts locally. Unfortunately this activity is not an option right now. Read how I did it…

I have completed my in class drivers ed sessions, now I have to write my beginners license and do my 10 in car hours and wait 8 months.
I have three steps before my license:
Beginners: 8 Months before I can do my road test.
Class 5: Weird regulations, minimum of 24 months from beginners test before I can proceed to next level.
Class 7: Full, unrestricted license.
I am ONE person. I live in a THREE bedroom home. I have this dream of one day owning an oddities museum, and my collections are overwhelming my life. I am an artist, and draw upon many things for inspiration. I also have tooooooo many things on the go.
(Tattoo studio, pinstriping, illustration, vintage clothing, reproduction and accessory store (online), painting, airbrushing, intaglio printmaking and B+W photolab, all in one house!!!)
On top of all of that I’m a full time high school art teacher (head of my department) and also teach liberal arts including law, journalism and media studies, so my house is full of books, journals, magazines, videos, file cabinets full of stuff, etc.
I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START!
