So up until our debt was paid off last week I wasn’t really saving very much $. But now, we can finally kick it into gear! It’s going to be a little slow going b/c Rachel is only working part time now & making a LOT less than she used to, but anything is better than what we had before…which was nothing. So far I have saved up 1 weeks pay (of my pay). Yay!

So we had a huge garage sale. We didn’t make very much and it was miserably hot outside, so we decided to just donate the rest to charity. Some of the highlights:
6 large bags of clothing
9 board games
35 stuffed animals
4 dog jackets
9 candle holders
1 backpack
1 large box of office supplies
1 box of coffee mugs
2 pairs leather boots
large collection of Disney movies
4 boxes of books
1 bicycle tire pump
1 box of 33 vhs movies
10 dvd’s
48 cassette tapes
1 pair soccer shin guards
1 box of art supplies
1 large ceramic banks
2 boxes of misc kitchen utensils
1 leather/fur jacket
15 cd’s
2 cordless phones
10 lexan bottles
1 dvd player
plus a bazillion other things. We are making a huge dent in our efforts to get rid of crap. :D
Well it took over 4.5 years, but we finally paid off all of our debt as of 6/6/2008. That was a HUGE weight off our shoulders, since we started with a combined amount of over $82,000! The only debt we have now is “good debt”...our house & my student loan. Phew. :D
