I was using it as an anaesthetic to deal with sadness, vulnerability, loneliness, boredom, and sometimes just because of plain greed. It got worse than ever when I first moved out here to the Cayman Islands – I only had my husband for company, and he was out at work all day. My favourite things to do was to buy a big tub of chocolate ice cream and watch DVDs in bed! And recently, the island supermarkets started to stock very high quality brands of chocolate bar: Swiss, German, French, mmm. My main reasons to cut back on chocolate was A because it was making me heavier, and B because it’s not good for the soul to attempt to heal spiritual wounds with material things.

I have been doing a lot of situps for the last week. I think I see a difference, but at this stage it’s probably psychological. I do 100 in sets of 10.

I bought mine to wear with jeans, but to be honest, I’m usually too self conscious to do so. But check me out when I wore it to be a pirate’s wench! This was for Pirate’s Week on Grand Cayman, British West Indies, where I’m living. I had to tuck a bit of lace across the top to make it more suitable for this family event.

I went to the shop to get a professional fitting, but if you call them up with your accurate measurements, they’ll advise you what size to get. Absolutely excellent, old fashioned service. It cost 100 British Pounds, which is about 150 USD right now. The quality is amazing – it will last me a lifetime, or I’m sure I’d get more than what I paid for it if I sold it through ebay. I want to get another colour one as well. I have a bit of a belly, so this is perfect – gives me an absolute flat belly, a very curvy waist and eye-popping BAPS.
