I have managed to self-educate myself over the last 7-8 years, am now a complete web geek and own a lot of websites, simply by reading a lot of books, websites and having a curiosity about how websites worked.

pieces of advice (imho):
avoid microshaft frontpage, its horrid
buy html & css pocket reference books
learn about file paths
use free site templates to learn about page structure
keep page design simple!

I ended up making all my own bookshelves and vinyl storage shelves, simply because I couldn’t buy exactly what I wanted – a detailed plan is the answer for speedy construction! ;)
