How I did it: Started off with the GP, lab tests, then a specialist, with lengthy tests and trials, then back to the GP for more tests, then a second specialist... Lots of lengthy trial and error stuff - if this med does something, then good, otherwise we try that... Fortunately, got the answer now because the next step would have been an invasive procedure. How I did it: I'm calling it 'done' because I've got the plot of the book down, all except the ending - it's definitely going to need a sequel, so I need to define an 'end' to the first part which is satisfying and still leaves the audience looking for more of the story...
