How I did it: I went to Mexico for my birthday and signed up for it. I was lucky enough to be able to go alone, no other tourists, with just the guide. It was a secluded beach, and I had a great horse. The guide was nice, and left me to it, mostly. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just found hotels I could afford that weren't horrid, booked them, and got on the plane. There really isn't much more to this one than that. I just would not allow myself to not go on my first trip to Paris during my birthday week without enjoying it, alone or not. Read how I did it…

I got some small mirror tiles and small colored tiles to break and add to my calavera project (a painted and decorated skull figure for Day of the Dead). while this isn’t just a mosaic project (the mosaic pieces are to add to the rest of the decorated skull figure), I feel like it’s definitely a start to making mosaic pieces.
I got a book at the used bookstore yesterday about making mosaics, so it’s definitely something I want to do soon. The book will serve as inspiration to take my mosaic idea further. I’d love to do a table top!
week. I keep seeing how emotionally tied I am to people and situations from my past….
This one is gonna take a while!
