How I did it: I started off in Taipei, Taiwan. Since I was living there, I wanted to learn some Mandarin to lubricate daily living and talk to girls and such. Then, I found a job where I needed to speak some Mandarin. Started studying a bit more seriously at this point.Then, I got very serious and left my wonderful life in Taiwan for Dalu--the mainland--on a quest to find the "best" place to study Chinese.From Harbin to Shanghai… Read how I did it…

hahaha… either i am really slow, or i just have a different idea of what it means to “learn” Chinese, ‘cause I feel like you can never truly finish “learning” a language… 加油！
