The keys
1. Following a lot of good blogs that inspire you and get you interested.
2. reblogging things that appeal to you, reblog a lot, you’ll get noticed, and in tags you might find other people that like similar things and they’ll probably follow you if you follow them and see you have similar things
3. talking to other users or who you admire on tumblr. I got someone I admire greatly to follow me back because I asked an interesting and insightful question about their opinions rather than telling or asking them to “rate my blog” “follow back” or anything like that.
4. Post original shit! Duh! Do art, post your face, take a stance on an issue, stand out!
DON’T:
-try and be who you aren’t, there are far too many people out there that do that. It’s show up quickly
-ask yourself anon questions. It’s gross and stupid and fake and if you get caught you’ll be made fun of endlessly
-use a music player. It’s tacky and annoying. If you a have a playlist, link it
-“follow me and I’ll follow back” Don’t like people’s blogs for liking you, wouldn’t you rather like a person for who they are genuinely rather them just liking you? Choose carefully, be selective in who you follow.
