I started down the weight loss path again (and for the 10238934th time) on April 2, 2007. Now that I am at my 4 week mark, I have lost a total of 10lbs! :))
I have made a few changes to my diet, drinking water daily, little or no salt added.. and the big one, no more junk food. I’ve also started walking a few days a week, and taken up tennis. :) I can’t believe I am even saying this, but I actually look forward to the exercise. It has definitely been hard, but I keep reminding myself why I am doing this. It will all soo be worth it in the long run.
I bought the dye…and it should be arriving within the next week.
I first stopped eating meat when I was 12 (I’m 24 now) and didn’t eat any again until I was 17. I had started working at one of my favourite restaurants and couldn’t resist a few of the meat included dishes. I haven’t eat that much meat since then, when I do it’s chicken. I’ve had the odd pepperoni on pizza or stick, pork sausage and even had shrimp. I just never went out of my way to get meat.
I’m no activist, people want to eat meat.. go ahead, I don’t care. I could never be full vegan either, I love my dairy products. For me, its more that I just don’t like eating meat. I tried turkey for the first time in 12 years at Christmas, and I hated it! I guess after all these years, I have an aversion to meat. Weird thing though, I LOVE to BBQ meat, cook bacon, anything that gives off that meat smell.. I just don’t eat it.
Right now, I’m living with my meat eating family, so it’s hard for me to not eat chicken at least once a week. I’ve already decided once I get my stuff together again, no more meat for me.
