Getting a summer job has definately helped me get closer to accomplishing this goal because it has forced me to interact with unfamiliar people much more frequently than I normally might. Although, at the same time, it has made me aware of my potential as a “social person”, in the sense that I now know that I’ll never be as outgoing as I wish to be. It has shown me my limits, as blunt, truthful and inconvenient as they may be.

It isn’t easy attempting to lose your best friend…
Especially when they were once reliable enough for you to assume they’d never sacrifice their integrity—that they’d never contour their true shape to fit the popular design. And yet, apparently it must be worth betraying yourself and those who once mattered to you. Fourteen years of friendship for this…played out to enable such a pathetic fallout…
It is something I wish I could mend, but I know I never will.
It is beyond my ability.
The only solution is to lose my best friend.
