plus my daughter ended up spending spring break in Atlanta with her best friend.

Well, found out that peonies like to be planted in the Fall. Me wonders if this is good information by which to abide…or just an excuse to not plant them!! (fear of failure) But I’m thinking the former. I mean – I did go to the nursery and bought two mandevilla (‘Alice DuPont’ – absolutely stunning), 36 snapdragons in assorted colors, and three big colius (sp). I’m even taking daily care of them until the freeze warning is past—daily trips out in the sunshine and back in again the garage at night…

I’m 70 percent finished cleaning out beds and the new mulch is ready to spread. One more good weekend ought to do the prep work. I do have a question: I was poking around where the last lady planted a peony bush…I think I poked too hard. Two or three tiny looking things came up. They looked like fresh, green hazelnuts. I bet those were tubers… :(

I need (needed??) only 14 hours to finish my degree program!
