I recycled about 50 plastic shopping bags, but I’m just going to count them as 20 things because they were sort of halfway between clutter and regular old trash. But we do tend to hoard these for no reason. We shouldn’t be using them at all, but if we hoard any, we only need about 10 at any time.
Then I also tossed out three pairs of my 2-year-old daughter’s shoes which were completely falling apart.

“Sleepwalking” by Amy Bloom
Hard to read because it is about a disturbing subject. I’m not sure the story lived up to the demands of the subject – it seemed like more could be said besides just raising the subject and examining its complexities. It seems like it could have been mined further.

“Love is Not a Pie” and “Song of Solomon” by Amy Bloom
I loved the first (though I’m not sure I quite got the ending,” liked the second and definitely didn’t feel like I understood it or understood what made it exceptional.
Nevertheless, I like her writing a lot.
