did it for thanksgiving 2006. okay, hallowgiving, because i couldn’t be with my family and friends for thanksgiving, so we held it a bit early. in costume, baby. got the recipe off of the food network website (food.com?). I think it was from “Sarah’s Secrets.” Also accomplished another goal in the process and used every part of the pumpkin. Maybe a little more work to carefully hollow it out with a spoon so I could still make a jack-o-lantern out of the shell (bake the seeds, pie from the innards), but sooo satisfying.

did this for a college project. devoted six hours a day to it for the month of january. i learned the basics of composition, lighting, and a few other basics, as well as how to manually set aperture settings and shutter speeds. experimented with different subjects and lenses and shot 38 rolls of film over the course of the month. it was an amazing experience, but as one professional photographer said with a chuckle when i told him i was learning photography that month, “one month? try twenty years.”
