Took a database class at the local college. I got the highest grade on the first test – 98%. I am such a geek. I love this stuff!

It has been a long year, but no more chemo. John can just start healing now. He looks better and feels better every day.
I have been gone from 43 things for about 6 months. That is when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. It has been a long 6 months. I looked at all my other goals and found only a couple that are helpful to me. They are ‘live a simple life’, ‘know that everything is going to be okay’, and ‘be tragically optimistic’. The others just don’t matter and are now on the back burner for a while. John has 4 more months of chemo which is a terrible thing. In the future, I believe society will look back and view it as a terribly barbaric medical practice, but right now it is what we must do.
Now that my oldest son has left for college, I would like to turn his room into a yoga room. I want to put items in there that will help me with meditation and yoga. It must have Ganesha, bamboo, and positive sayings.
I have printed a 6 months training schedule. I have 7 months before the marathon, so I have some leeway.
I will do yoga twice a week, swim twice a week, and run 3 times a week.
I haven’t had to ask if everything is going to be okay for a while. It might be the yoga, acupuncture, and massages that are helping me find bliss. Also, I have improved my diet. No coffee, junk food, or eating out. Also, I love the glass or two of wine each night. I really am feeling that everything is going to be okay.
When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy”. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.
Last week I got to 6.4 miles and this week I ran 8.7! I am feeling healthy and I am hoping I am healed. Not running fast, but I am running. This was the first time in 6 months I was able to reach 8+ miles.
