Get Buster and Kellianne's wedding announcement into the NY Times
Going great!

I feel like this is such a great 43 thing. It’s going well—we’ve got a draft for the announcement, and it doesn’t need to be in until August 23. I don’t know if it’s going to work, but this is awesome and I am excited. Plus I get to learn more about Buster and Kellianne, which is cool.

Go back to Africa
Back to Africa!

After going to Africa in summer 2003 with my dear friends Mathew and Ben, on a self-guided overland tour of eastern Zambia and a good chunk of Malawi, I really wanted to go back.

I made it happen with 3 dear friends from law school, Benita, Lauren, and JoAnn. JoAnn was also making a returning trip, having studied in Cape Town in 2000, and then having an abbreviated return after she graduated from college.

We signed up for an overland tour starting in Victoria Falls (but the Zambian side, Livingstone), through Namibia’s Caprivi strip to Botswana and Chobe National Park, and then to the Okavango Delta. Then it was on into Namibia, to the sand dunes at Swakopmund and Sossusvlei, the cave paintings, Etosha National Park with it’s salt pan (Etosha means “the great white place”) and then down into South Africa to Cape Town. My friends and I stayed on in Cape Town for a week, one of my favorite cities. One day we drove to Cape Point, and saw whales, penguins, baboons, and an ostrich, all in the same day!

Our final day we spent in Johannesburg, also an incredibly interesting time.

I can’t wait to go back again!
