I know this goal conflicts with this goal but study books don’t count :-P I am going to enroll into a MSc program, but since that doesn’t start until Jan ‘09 doing the Personal MBA should be an excellent prep!

I’m really getting the hang of the lingo. I listened to the first 10 CoffeeBreak Spanish podcasts and I’m on CD 4 of Michel Thomas’ program. Yesterday I watched TVE for over an hour but man, do those people talk fast! The good news is that I am able to understand some of the conversations, hurrah!
I’m a big fan of Jerry Seinfeld, yet I managed to fell asleep af 20 minutes… I need to watch this one again to form an opinion ;)
Better than expected a very solid performance by mr. Smith, and I just love that “last guy on earth”-theme (deja-vu 28 Days Later). Imho, a great one-man show let down by some awfully poor animated zombies :(

I’m a real movie buff and I really regret not seeing more. For this year, I’ll keep track of the movies I’ve seen and I’ll rate them as well :)
High Fidelity: one of my old time faves, great cast, great soundtrack and terric performances, what more could you want ;)

I managed to cycle into work 3 out of 5 days again plus I played golf an entire day (that counts as a work out, right?) But the remaining 3 days of the week I did not feel like going out for a run (bloody weather!) or work out indoors…. so I have to do better next week!
This week I cycled into work 3 out of 5 days. It’s pretty far (about 10k) and a good workout. Now the actual goal is to combine this workout with running and fitness on days I do not cycle, so I work out every day.
I just got back from a short holiday in Madrid and it really frustrated me that I was not able to understand one single word of what the locals were saying to me. Every time I told somebody ‘no hablo espagnol’ it seemed to trigger them to speak faster and louder. And that really did not help. I adopted this goal a while back and I actually thought I mastered the basics of the Spanish language. How wrong was I. As we speak, I’m loading Michel Thomas onto my iPod, the learning starts manana!
