get married
It actually makes a difference...

I just got engaged. We’ve been together for 7 years and I never thought it would change things, but it has. We’ve entered this new phase in our relationship with this new, bubbling excitement. We had been tip toeing around the topic for years and once it finally came out (the proposal, the ring, the announcements) it was like a door opened and now we’re allowed to really discuss our future, although I never doubted it before the engagement. People had actually given up on us getting married and assumed we never would so the surprise we received was overwhelming. I can actually think about it now, without worrying if I’m getting ahead of myself. I just wanted to wait until he was ready as well and I never pushed it because the last thing I want is to be married because I pressured it to happen. In fact, he’s even moved up the date than what we originally decided because he says he can’t wait.

learn to sew
so rewarding!

i love sewing, but i’m not 100% comfortable with it just yet. i just use simple stitching. so far i’ve made a duvet cover, several pillows, and two futon covers. one day i’ll try my hand at making clothes.
