I left Miami and get less practive now but am taking more proactive measures to learn, just finished a week long refresher course. Quantifying this should be harder but if I can pass an intermediate level job performance evaluation will consider this one met.

How I did it: Read all the course material assigned and get involved in cconsructive dialogue with other students. Keeping up with current affairs within your field also helps, as well as proofreading all material thoroughly in order to ensure your work is quality. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Worked as a waiter at two different places before getting an offer to tend the bar. Being a barback also helped. Learn to make drinks on your own or take a 2 week class like my buddy did really helps. Work slower shifts to start then take the better ones, you work late but make great money and can take classes during the day if you don't mind not sleeping all day and being stuck in a dead end job. Technically, have been on 5 continents but want to revisit Europe and Asia to spend more than a day on each. Australia was a 2 week trip and definitely worth it – want to do the same for S. America, Europe and Asia.
Although I did not achieve this goal during my undergrad, I was able to come close. During graduate courses however, was able to get a 4.0 for a few classes and now carry a 3.91. I enjoy what I have learned getting the grade rather than the grade itself.
