I think that this weekend will be just pure agony. x___x
I have the first exam on Monday (Introduction to translation processes), the next one is on Wednesday (Czech) and the last one is on Friday (Introduction to literary studies)
and I should also write those first five lecture diaries this weekend for the course US Presidential Elections. :X I’m dreading those the most, I think. I’m pretty much screwed with them, to be honest. I have no idea what I should write, I have nothing smart to say about the political theories we’ve been going through and how they manifest in the current elections and bla bla bla. Not interested. The elections themselves are quite entertaining but I feel like giving up on the course just because of these bleedin’ course diaries. :/

When I saw the trailer last year, I seriously thought that I would never want to see this film. It looked so brutal and awful that I didn’t think that I would ever dare to watch it! D: But I did, after all – yes, it was brutal and everything, but it was also pretty cool, visually. I liked the colours and once I learned to block out the violence a bit, some of the scenes were really beautiful, too. Not bad at all.

134. Tropic Thunder
Ahahahaa, stupidass movie. But it was a lot of fun, too. :) Seen at the movie theatre with Joonas last Saturday!

So, we didn’t get to sign the papers today but we did get everything sorted out at the housing organisation’s office and it is now definitely sure that that studio will be mine! n___n
I’ll go back to the office on Monday afternoon, then we’ll do all the paper work and I’ll get a bill for the first month’s rent and the deposit. After I’ve paid that, they’ll give me my key! :)
I’ll get to start moving in on Friday 17th, after my exams are over. My mum will probably come help me on Sunday.

I’m a little worried about my money situation since I’ll be needing to buy a new bed and stuff like that, and I don’t exactly have a load of money at the moment. :x I hope I’ll be able to get everything I need, eventually.

Hmmm, what could I tell you about the new place~ The building is an old motel which I think is cool! :D There are around 200 apartments there, mostly studios and everyone who lives there is a student. (From what I heard, there are a lot of foreign exchange students there.) The building has two floors and it’s pretty much in the shape of an E (without the middle line).
It’s situated by the lake and there are big beautiful green areas right next to it, too. So I’ll be living by the lake once again :D but this time I’ll be on the other side of the lake, oooh!
My door is red (as are all the other doors as well). In my studio I have a bathroom, a closet, a tiny “hall”, a small kitchen corner, a very big window, a built-in shelf and the main, umm, area. The whole place is 20 square meters. I thought it was really cozy and in good shape and just all-in-all great! :) Downstairs, there are washing rooms etc.
The only minuses are that there’s no oven and no freezer, but I think I’ll manage. There is an oven downstairs, at the common kitchen, but I was told that people don’t like to use it since it’s so horribly dirty. :D But if I clean it, it should be safe to use, haha.
I’ll post photos as soon as I’ve started to move or at least once I’ve settled in! ;)

I have these lists running in my head now: lists of things to buy, of things that my mum needs to bring me, of things I need to find out, etc.
I’m so excited about this! :> I cannot even begin to tell you how happy it makes me to finally have my own place, my very own home. ♥

And then this old place.
This morning when I woke up, I found a big suitcase in the hall. Our landlord had returned. I didn’t see him in the morning but when I came back home I immediately bumped into him when I stepped inside the house. He’s a nice man, no worries. We talked for a while and he told me about his trip, how he had trouble finding a place to stay, how his health was on the line (his appendix burst :o but at first the doctors didn’t know what was wrong with him) and how he couldn’t really keep up with his studies because of those health problems. I felt so sorry for him, he had so many misfortunes and he was almost in tears when he talked about the whole thing. Poor guy.
He now also knows that I’ll be moving out, it’s working out for the best for all of us now. He said he’d give me back the rest of the month’s rent which I thought was very nice of him. :)

It’s sort of a shame that I won’t get to live here longer but I don’t mind, I’m just so happy about my studio. It’s all working out for the best, truly.

So this is pretty much what my hair looks like at the moment. My red roots are showing a bit now, too, and I’ve been planning on getting my hair re-dyed turquoise some time soon. (Meant to do it last week, but had to cancel since I was – and still am, dammit – sick. :z)
I like this light green too, though. :)

today I just feel like avoiding the whole freaking world. Everything annoys me, everything seems to be causing more and more problems and I just hate it. I wish it would all just go away.
I don’t want to deal with my studies, with money issues, with this ongoing illness of mine, with people, with my future, with this f&cking situation concerning my landlord and moving, I don’t want to deal with anything. I just want to crawl under the blankets and stay there. I’m tired of playing this stupid game, I just want nothing. I want to be blank, I want to be empty.

Two hours ago I got an email from our landlord.
He’s coming back from Italy on Friday.

Marina and I are both a bit shocked. Okay, not just a bit. A whole lot. Geez, this is going to get interesting…
We’re still allowed to live here, of course, but it will be sooo weird to stay here when the landlord will be sleeping downstairs. I think it’s just going to be too weird.
Marina immediately said that she won’t stay here and she also suggested that we look for a new place together. I was surprised, but it is a good idea – it’s cheaper to share an apartment with someone than live on your own (even though I had been dreaming of getting my own studio next year).
So I think we’ll start looking for a place together, a three room apartment I guess. I already found one ad, I’ll do more research tomorrow.

Damn… this is so weird. That’s all I can say. :,D

I started to panic today at university when I realized that there’s only two weeks left of this first period – which means that next week I’ll have two three exams and I have to turn in lecture diaries (5 of them)! :O I’m freaking out for some reason, feels like I’m running out of time and I can’t manage to pull everything off.
I’ll have to try to be very hardworking these next 11 days, then I can relax. It’s just tough since I’m still quite lacking in my motivation department and I feel lazy. But I’ll try.

I’ve been wondering for a while, looking at my bank account statements, that how in the world could I have spent so much money lately, in such a short time? I just didn’t think it was possible for me to have spent the whole student loan already.
I got so curious about the whole thing that I just checked (twice!) all the incomes and outcomes, counted the whole balance, plus, minus, the whole works…

There’s no trace of it, they have just vanished.
I’m fucking furious and I will demand that this gets sorted out! My bank will need to get to the bottom of this, this is unacceptable!
I want my money back!!! NOW!!!

From Saturday morning to Sunday evening. :)
So Joonas came over on Saturday. We hanged out at the city centre for quite some time, had hamburger meals for breakfast (how healthy :D), went through some shops, talked a lot about Warhammer and Joonas took me to a fantasy game shop where he drooled after all the Warhammer figures and such, while I just tried to keep up. :D He’s quite determined to get me to play Warhammer too, I think, haha.
We also met up with two of my friends! First we saw Aili and spent some time in a fascinating shop where they sold all sorts of costumes and accessories for masquerades and such; I found this really cool mask that I’m thinking of buying at some point, perhaps. And elf ears! :D They’d be wicked.
Then also Elsa joined us and we ended up going to a café. Later we shopped some more and then finally headed home.

After a trip to the food shop we relaxed for a bit
but then we headed back to the city centre and went to the movies! I even bought popcorn for us (we were supposed to make some at home and take it with us, but ummm, we ran out of time, hehe). The movie was a whole lot of fun.

Today we just laid around, slept late and watched silly tv shows from my laptop. It was nice too. n__n
And at 7pm I said bye to Joonas at the train station, once again. We’ll try to see each other soon again.

I took my “old” bus – the one I used last year when I lived by the lake – home just for the fun of it, the final stop isn’t far from here at all. And suddenly there was a freaking storm going on, the wind throwing me from side to side.
But now I’m indoors, safe and warm… although, surprisingly, my fever made a comeback. o_o I thought I was well already. Damn.

Another very surprising fact is that I didn’t take any photos this weekend. How peculiar, I just forgot to. But I’ll surely make it up next time. ;)

Joonas is coming here tomorrow morning! n___n Looks like I’ll have a fun weekend after all, I’m sure the two of us can think of nice, entertaining things to do together.

Both of us have also started to feel much better – this morning was still agony when I had to get up for a morning lecture and I had fever and a head ache but I feel much better now. I think this thing is finally starting to blow over. :)

This little creature probably brought me the greatest joy when we were at Korkeasaari! I love otters, they’re so adorable and sweet and amusing and funny! I really wish I was an otter in some past life, hehee.
First this little thing went digging and digging and digging some more and then she ran to the water pool, her back all crouched. n__n And the otter swam so so fast! It was beautiful to watch it, this cute animal just glided across the water. Sometimes she dived and later on she started to swim on her back, it looked awesome. It was really difficult to take photos of her since she was so so fast, but I got a few quick snapshots. Then I just focused on watching her and I could swear that every time she got up from the water and stayed on one of the branches, she looked at me like “whee! did you see me, did you see what I just did! neat, wasn’t it! watch this then!” :D ♥! She was my favorite.
