after a one month break up, countless arguments, and screaming matches we have come to truly appreciate each other for who we are- fragile, emotional people who have found each other in this hurricane of life- and we hold onto each other with all the strength we can muster. I love my man more than my heart can express- he wants me to understand things, and talk about my irritating teacher, or my concerns with life post-grad or how upset I am with myself and my body. He loves me, and I love him even more when he listens. After our break something clicked- we were just messing around and needed each other more than anything and weren’t about to let a silly thing called life get in the way.
This is something that always sticks with you…so i suppose a better word is “recover”, not stop. Stop means to not throw up again….does that mean we excercise excessively now? Or stop eating? No- it means we learn to cook healthful, small meals for ourselves. To find time to nourish ourselves. to not be influenced by idiots around us, surrounding us with “food noise” and their commenting on what we eat or what they eat. This is for us. This is about taking care of your body so when you’re 40 years old you still aren’t doing this. Stay healthy. Trust yourself.
