Well I’ve finally gotten my lazy self around to getting back in shape. Since the end of July I’ve been doing alot more walking, some running, and going to the Gym at least once a week.
When I started in July I could sprint maybe 100 yards without getting winded.. That’s really not good for someone who ran track less than 10 years ago.. now I can pretty much sprint 1/4th mile, and can run over 2 miles without getting too out of breath… I’ve also gained about 10 lbs in muscle, lost about half of by beer belly, gotten most of my 6 pack back and look quite a bit more fit than I did back then.
I plan on keeping it up this time.

I came to the conclusion that getting my wife back just plain isn’t worth it. Although I do still love her in some ways, after the lying, disrespect, and cheating she pulled right in front of my face, there is no way I could ever have the trust or respect for her that I’d want to have for the woman I spend the rest of my life with. Our divorce is now final, and I’ve moved on and met someone else who I do trust, respects me, I respect her, and we’re more alike than my wife and I were. While it’s still a bit early to know for sure since it hasn’t been long since my divorce, and i’m still adjusting to being single again, I think it may turn out that she’s the one.

I’d given up on this for a while, but I started to try again this last saturday. The first 2 days went well, but I fell off sunday night… It took me until last night to get back on it.. I’m feeling alot stronger today, and only slipped when I woke up. I’m finding that when I want a smoke at work, the easiest way for me to get rid of my craving is to go out like I’m going to have a smoke, but walk for like 5 minutes instead. It seems to be tricking my brain into thinking I did have one pretty well.. at least for 30 min or so….
Good luck to the rest of ya :)
