I’ve given up on this because it seems so pointless to me now. I have to stop being so unhappy with my own decisions. I made “The List” so that I would have something to report to in order to accomplish all the things in my life that I want to do but I never thought about just being happy with the things I do, regardless of whether they make “The List” or not. This is being given up on because really it should be part of Being Happy. So, I’m going to stop regretting all my decisions and start loving life because after all, it’s too fucking short.
This day doesn’t get much recognition but its obviously something that affects a lot of people. I want to do something at my school, like organize an event or info meeting, but I’m not sure if it would go over very well. My roommate is on the e-board of an LGBT group and maybe if we teamed up we could get something done. They did make orange the official color of self-injury awareness for ribbons. orange ribbons are for self-injurers, white ribbons are for supporters who aren’t injurers themselves and a mix of orange and white signifies someone who is trying to stop or has stopped self-injury. Even if my event is just passing out ribbons, I think it might be effective.
