I did this once years ago- in the mountains above Marble Colorado. It feels like a whole different world. The smells are pure, the sounds are amazing, and at night- the stars are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I now live on a street with a bright street lamp right next to the house- it really takes away from being able to sky watch. I’ve been tempted to shoot the street lamp with a paintball marker….but alas I am a law abdiding citizen and wouldn’t want to risk it (mainly because the neighbors have a camper parked directly under it:)
Making progress by making a bigger mess...

Yep- We’ve started it. What a nightmare. We’ve thrown out at least 3 huge trash bags, and have a large box full of stuff for my moms garage sale next spring. It looks about 10 times worse than when we started- but it’s progress!
