I'm doing 29 things
we are starting to pack the little things we don’t use on a daily basis lol that would be most of our stuff! things are progressing forward pretty quickly!!
my poor sister is torn because she wants to see everything work out for us & for dad…my brother-in-law says he grees with us that dad dragged his feet & we’ve given hi more than enough time to get things squared away so we shouldn’t have anything to feel guilty or bad about. he’s right…we’ve told dad many times but it didn’t seem to click in until i put it in writing, then the drama king appeared! whatever…
i’m not going to allow his procrastination ruin one of the most exciting things in my life…i’ve already had 2 major life events screwed up by others: my father didn’t come to my high school graduation (he “forgot” even though i had told him the day before) & my wedding was not as enjoyable as it should’ve been because of the guy that hit us the previous June (a whole nother drama!)
but i’m looking forward with hope & determination

How I did it: we went to a 1st time homebuyers class to make sure we weren't going into such an enormous obligation/ decision blind...then we contacted a realtor that was highly recommended by friends, scoured the MLS looking for the perfect house for us... we made a list, on paper, of must haves, nice-to-haves, & definitely nots...our house has EVERYTHING on the must have & a few things on the nice-to-have lists...not a single thing on the def… Read how I did it…
How I did it: i had left a job i was good at but so completely miserable with, took a few months off thinking i was going to get into landscape design, saw an opportunity & went for it...looked at the qualifications & thought "i don't have a degree but i KNOW how crappy it feels to be just trying to survive & worrying bout having to pay debts too" so i decided to help people not feel so crappy about their situations....yes, it's hard howeve… Read how I did it…
we made an offer…but someone else made an identical offer…HUD doesn’t care who gets it lol they pick names out of a hat or something, flip a coin, enny-meeny-minie-moe…idk but we didn’t get it… oh well…
we went to an open house last weekend…made an offer on Monday…found out on Tuesday…close end of December :D
