More relaxed.

How I did it: After making decent sized payments ($200-300) a month for a couple of years and not retiring the credit card debt I'd accumulated from graduate school tuition (what wasn't covered by student loans) and dental care bills, I took on 3 extra jobs this summer to pay it all down.  I spent my two-week vacation from from my full time job, and one evening a week and many of my summer weekends doing added freelance work.  Every check went towards … Read how I did it…

Got a iphone
Got a promotion
Took a Day of the Dead paper-mache workshop with a Mexican artist. Felt great to do an art workshop!
Spoke a little Spanish for the first time in a long time
Went on Love Letter mural tour in Philadelphia -loved it. Can’t wait to do it again in the spring or summer!
Bought a real piece of artwork.

Nov.
Went to Duke Reilly lecture at Proteus Gowanus
Took imovie classes at apple store
went to Children’s Museum of the Arts & Museum of the Chinese in America

July, August, September 2011

-went to San Francisco, CA – loved it! Murals, amazing vegetarian food,views of the Golden Gate Bridge, sea lions, hills, brilliant art museums!
- stayed at an airbnb in SF
-went to Yosemite National Park -saw a giant sequoia, hiked up a waterfall!
-walked to Coney Island
-went roller skating for about the first time in 25 years
-camped at the beach
- went to Jackson Pollock & Lee Krasner House
-went to Decordova Sculpture Park in MA
-made steamed artichokes
-went to NY’s Diner en Blanc -a white-themed mobile dinner party & had surprise dinner party in Battery Park behind Winter Gardens
-woke up early to clean before work – need to do this more often

Notice again, I’m going to lots of new places, but not necessarily doing so many new things. Need to shift the balance here. More new experiences needed!

Made strawberry rhubarb pie.
Walked to prospect park.
Visited the art barge in amagansett, long island.
Got eyebrows threaded -not sure I’ll do it again.
