Trying one new thing a month, something exciting, different and/or ever so slightly outside of my comfort zone, is a routine I’ve really embraced and followed through on for seven months now. I highly recommend it. I think I need to start pushing myself to increasingly challenging new things, particularly trying to be more open and adventurous when it comes to pursuing the things I really want in life.
This July I gambled in Atlantic City and won $50! I’d never gambled before. I also went on a blind date! I tried to sign up for a matchmaking service, which took guts, but I don’t think it worked; I need to follow up.
In June I dressed up like a mermaid for the mermaid parade in Coney Island for the very first time. I’d definitely like to do it again and do it even better next year.
I also agreed to a blind date for the first time ever.
