Pre-going home weigh in!-- Deadline day!! 20 months ago

Hey!
So today is the day i set as a deadline for my first goal, as today is the day i travel back home for easter. That means not only from here on in can i no longer really control what im eating (i mean i can to some extent but i cant meal plan and there will be meals out with friends and family) but also that now is the time to face all those old friends and ex-boyfriends who i hid from at christmas because id gotten so out of shape…..
and you know what?? I MADE IT! I made my goal weight of 135!! Weighed myself this morning and there it was! Now this may just be fluke as i weighed 146 on monday and i even had a meal out last night, but more importantly than the individual number i am now definatly back in the area i was pre-uni and i no longer feel embarressed about having gained weight, i mean i feel so much more like myself!!. My pre-uni clothes are starting to fit almost like normal (a few a little tight still but considering at crimbo i couldnt even get them on that is a mighty improvement!!) sure i still need some time to tone up, and this isnt my final goal weight, but this is goal number one reached and i feel so happy!!

The reason i am not going to mark this as done yet, is i still have my second ‘lot’ of 10 pounds to lose (well 9 now really) and realistically i will gain back a pound or two over eater. In many ways now the real challenge begins. I mean its easier to eat well when your only ever surrounded by the food you buy, can plan your meals and eat when you need to, im back into family living from tonight which meals being surrounded by so much food!
I think the main goal for the next 2 weeks will be to maintain, im going to walk my dog everyday, try and hit my gym but more importantly RELAX! Ive been working so hard at uni this term and also then trying really hard to get my weight down so i just want to enjoy spending time with my family!

But just gotta say i so feel so much more confident already now, i went shopping yesterday and fit into some uk size 10 jeans which made me feel brilliant and just generally i wake up and feel happier with my body, so to anyone who is struggling and wanting to quit – YOU CAN DO THIS! and it is so worth it!

Anyway bye for now, will be back soon to get going on goal number 2 (and possibly to lament the gain of several pounds :S)

Hey all,
So i avoided weighing in last monday, as id had a weekend home which unfortunatly involved 3 HUGE meals out, lots of chocolate and LOTS of cake.
So basically on monday i decided there was no point depressing myself by weighing in and seeing a) at best no loss b) more realistically a gain. So Instead i just brushed myself off and made a real effort to get back to task!

I had a couple of AMAZING work outs this past week which left me feeling so pumped and positive so im making the decision to focus less on calorie counting (something i HATE doing but have gotten into the habit of doing pretty obsessivly) and focus more on my fitness and excersize.

So anyway, despite my weekend cheat last week (oh and a fair amount of easter cake on friday) i still managed to weigh in at 136 this morning! Hell yeah! i know that officially thats only 2 lbs lost in 2 weeks so doesnt sound that much but i am SO happy about it. For one i didnt gain/stay the same despite not sticking to healthy eating. Its like i cant seem to eat a small amount of junk – if i eat ‘bad’ foods i blooming go for it!- this HAS to change i need to work on just eating 1 cake, or a couple of squares of chocolate as oppose to a huge bar. But anyway thats something new to focus on. This means im only 1 pounds away from my first goal! Now im back home in 3 days (thursday) which means to OFFICIALLY complete this goal i need to drop a pound in 3 days, but im not going to freak about it. Im having a day off from the gym today as im busy with uni stuff but i’ll make an effort to go tomorrow and maybe wednesday for a last minute blast, but esentially im just going to keep doing what im doing.

After that comes the real test of being at home! Im determined not to use not choosing what im fed as an excuse to go mental (its like if i dont control my portion size/what im eating i decide the days a wright off and go creeeaaazzzy) So the goal will be not to GAIN while im home. I’ll keep up the excersize and just relax and try and have a nice week. Then, it will be on to the final 9 pounds that stand between me and my ultimate goal weight! Im feeling good!!

Hey!
So another pretty good week this week in all. I did cave in to some chips and mini eggs (as in a WHOLE bag) on friday and woke up absolutely fuming at myself. Its not like chocolate is going to disappear off the planet in the next few weeks so why couldn’t i just stick to my will? or at least have a few not the whole bag! I was so determined not to let it destroy how good id been in the week so i went to the gym both saturday and sunday (Making last weeks total 4 times again) and so i weighed in this morning at 138! Another 2lbs down and only 3 more to go until my 1st goal of 135 is reached! Im really excited about this as i think i can actually do it now! Just gotta stick at it. Ive definatly rekindled my love of the gym and find im not even tempted to stray after a good work out -it gives me so much motivation and energy so im definatly going to make a real effort to get my work outs in this week and to really push myself in that area!
