People are more attracted to people giving off a positive vibe. I feel like I can think of only 2 experiences where I came off exactly as I intended to because it worked out exactly as I wanted and I wasn’t worried or thinking about it at all- I just was myself. One time was when I was younger at a camp where I knew I’d only be with the people for a limited time, and the other was study abroad, where I also knew the connections I made weren’t going to last very long. I need to try to have that mindset all the time.

I haven’t had many healthy relationships yet. I think to work on this is mostly a matter of gaining self acceptance, confidence, and more respect for myself. I need to stop trying so hard to please everyone and stop worrying so much what others think of me.
