I started taking Zoloft a year and a half ago after have a tumor removed from my left adrenal gland. The tumor was noncancerous but was producing hormones that caused me to gain alot of weight in a fairly short period of time. I am already predispositioned to depression issues but the weight gain along with the fear of surgery had pushed me to my breaking point. After the surgery I went through a period of post traumatic stress increased by phobias and anxieties, along with stress of family changes and deaths. Anyway, I felt it was time to stop this horrible drug because my life was becoming emotionless and empty. I began to ween myself off slowly and am now 9 days into not taking it at all. The withdrawl effects are now gone and I’m beginning to feel like myself again. No more false sense of happiness … only real happiness. I’ve also lost 50lbs since my surgery and I’m currently working on losing another 50lbs.

How I did it
How I did it: I started breaking my pills in half for a week. Then I would take a half of pill every other day for a week. Then every two days for a week. By the fourth week I would only take one when I started to get that "detached" feeling and tremors. I only had to take 2 that week. It has now been 9 days without any so I believe I'm done. After I'm off it for 30 consecutive days, I'm going to have a "Zoloft Wake"… Read how I did it…
