expand my vocabulary
Does memorizing made-up words count? 11 months ago

I recently reread A Clockwork Orange, and I realized how many obtuse words Burgess uses. Think it’s possible to bring back “droogs” instead of peeps and “ill in my gulliwuts” instead of sick to my stomach? While we’re at it, let’s start using shebeen instead of pub.

perfect my homebrew recipe
Brew Beer, Love Life 11 months ago

I’ve brewed a bunch of kits (7) and made three batches (2 wheat, 1 I.P.A.) of my own recipes by going to the local homebrew store and mixing/matching ingredients. There must be a better way to make a more original tasting beer… How difficult is it to grow and mash fresh HOPs? I live in Pennsylvania and I hear it isn’t too hard to grow them around here… Next batch will be a lager for this time of year!

get WEMT certified
First step into action 11 months ago

I just signed up to take an 8 week EMT-B course in philadelphia! I figure if I get my EMT-Basic, then I can train as a wilderness guide and get WFR (wilderness first responder) certified later on… If nothing else, the EMT course is a great life skill to have. I’m excited!
