I started reading this book some days ago (my friend Allaire lent it me) and… don’t know exactly what to think about it. I’m at the half of the book and it’s kind of really BRUTAL and disturbing from time to time, but you can see how the main character (the highpriest – and later king – of Assur) changes, how he becomes more human, how he becomes human at all, after being a monster, that enjoys seeing people dying painfully.
... and I hope the slash will come up SOON, because the het in the book is even MORE disturbing than all the torture and killing x_X;;
Yeah, I joined NaNoWriMo this year for the first time ever!
Last year I wanted to participate – but couldn’t because my live was really stressy at that time (working lots of overtime, having no free time, getting no hollidays and more shit like that…).
Now I will try to write a mystery story (it’s going to be a mix of a cozy and a detective story, I suppose – containing slashy elements cough cough) which has the working title “Zum Fressen gern”.
The protagonists will be Nante Nikodemus, a former law student (who is still studying in his “free time”) and Raimund Gregory Johnson, a former policeman, who was defrauded by some corrupt collegues and had to take this job (as private investigator) because he had no alternatives.
I finished chapter 3 of “Spliss” on 21th of August.
Now I “just” need to finish the rest of the story (meaning: about… 10 other chapters cough ^^°)
Because with every passing day I hate my actual job more and more: hate the things I have to do, hate the colleagues I have to stand in for (because they do NOTHING, when I’m ill or at holidays grrrrr), hate the fact, that I’m no official anymore but employee and earn 340 Euros less just because of this fact!!!
... THAT kind of flat: a loft apartment on 2 floors. love
(That one on the picture costs about 740,000 Euros and is already sold ;_; snif – and it’s to large for one person anyway but it’s soooooo cool, with a winter garden ♥ and I REALLY would love to live in the old “Proviant-Archiv” in Mainz keeps dreaming
rosy and me finished that story quite a while ago and it’s totally MY fault, that it’s still not completely beta-read x_X
Sorry, rosy! Will try to do that, but well… “Spliss” is too much in my mind to leave place for something different concerning “writing” sighs
I have the very bad habit to ALWAYS start reading a really great book and then stop in the middle of it and start the next great book! (or read fanfiction excessively – at the moment Viewfinder-fanfiction…)
And this book is REALLY great so I really have to finish it soon – and if it’s just to talk about the Nightrunner-Series with rosy, who has already read the whole series!!!!!
I absolutely have to finish this soon, ‘cause I don’t want to be forced to believe in reincarnation because of all my started and unfinished stories and my slow writingstyle… -.-°
And I love my two main characters, so I just HAVE to finish this chapter (and this story) soon!!
