Had a blast and didn’t do too bad. I would go through the entire process again in a heartbeat.
I’m in Belgium now, enjoying myself. Just took 2nd in my Rep today to advance to the semi-finals tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I’ll make it to the A finals but even if not I really have no right to complain. I’m having a great time hanging out and meeting new people and definitely looking forward to trying some of the good food when the racing is over!
Rowed an 8:05.5 at trials last week in no wind against a current. Hopefully I should be able to break 8 at U23s later this month.
Yay, it’s going to happen! I won my race at U23 trials in the LW1x and beat the time standard by almost 3 seconds! I’m going to Belgium!!! :)
I managed to make weight at the CRASH-B’s, so didn’t screw that up. It gets easier and easier to hold things together the better I do. So hopefully this success will lead to more. I just have to keep remembering this!
I learned to row about 5 years ago. Now I train twice a day and am hoping to go to the world championships. When I started I was out of shape and never would have dreamed of doing some of the things that I don’t even think about now. (Like going for a 7mi run.) Rowing has truely made me a better person, I highly recommend it!
