Finally read this! I enjoyed it, but is it wrong that I loved Screwtape’s toast, what with his comments on the equality of men and the inefficacy of government education, even more than the actual book?

I didn’t reach this goal in 2006, but this year, it will definitely happen. Even better, I’m reading 100 books in the last 6 months of 2007, so I’m under far more stringent time limits than I was last year. Ah well … what else is an English major for?
