the thought of starting a business has been on my mind on and off for a couple of years now. i have no delusions of grandeur – all i want is a small business which, hopefully, will net enough money (at least as much as what i would earn in a stable employment).
i’m tired of the daily grind of working for someone else. the daily commute to the city is tiring and you spend most of your waking hours trying to please people who generally don’t appreciate your efforts.
... so, there are a couple of things that i know i can do well – accounting/bookkeeping and teaching computer basics. i always have an excuse for not putting an effort to at least find out the feasibility of putting up such businesses – i’m always too tired working/studying etc… but no more excuses… first stop – research!
june 30 – enrolled and started my first driving class. driving instructor is a real character – long hair and more bling on him than a jewelry store. i was taken aback and i thought “can i trust this guy with my life???” he looks more like a drug dealer than a respectable driving instructor (harsh yet true) but my brother swears he’s really good and he speaks 6 languages (which, for some reason, reassures me a bit) ... soooo… we’ll see.
