As of lately this goal has become more and more difficult. I guess initially I see the beauty, but once that negative comment or trait rears it’s ugly head, I am heart broken. I have so many ugly traits that I tend to ignore but knowing that someone consistantly see’s the light in me makes me aspire to be a better person.

It’s funny how others see you in a completely different light than u see yourself. It would be nice to know all of the inspiring things that people think of you.

Having a love affair with affordable clothing. I love it when I am complimented on a particular look and everyone just assumes I spent a whole bunch of money on it. Please! I have a child and bills to pay. I love putting looks together from accessories right down to the shoes…it’s fun and exciting to duplicate an expensive outfit I saw in Elle or Allure for soooo much less.

Working hard on commiting to a daily practice. Finally carved out enough time to take advantage of a 12pm class. Loving it. Living it.

Any mother knows that when you have a child/children your always two beats away from wearing something frumpy. When was the last time we actually spent time getting beautiful? Even if we are just running errands or sitting around the house I believe that we need to dress up. Show the world how fierce we really are. This will do wonders for our self-esteem and show our spouses that we can change dirty diapers and still look cute.

When you make a mistake, don’t look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind, and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed The future is yet in your pow]wer.

When you first meet someone it is so easy to notice where they are lacking. It’s high time we all started acknowledging people’s strengths instead of their weaknesses.

I want so much for my little boy…but I realize that this goal is a trap. Not only do I have no control over what kind of husband my son will be, I also have no control over what kind of lover he will be or what kind of adult he will be. I am a mother who has given birth to an INDIVIDUAL. I belive that it is unfair to think that I can mold him into the “perfect” little man. All I can do is influence him and teach him obedience, manners, cleanliness, academics and morals. And then PRAY that these lessons remain throughout adulthood. What will never change is the LOVE that I have for this human being.

I am addicted to watching the entire 6 Seasons of Sex and the City. Whenever I am sad or blue I have a marathon. It is a little weird how obsesed I am with watching a show simply for the wardrobe changes. When will they have Sex and the City trivia nights? Then I could do 2 of my favorite things drink beer and answer insane questions about a series of imaginary women with fabulous clothes.

I breastfed my little boy for 12 months instead of 6 months. It’s a catch 22. I am glad that he has moved on and I myself have moved on as well. I do miss breastfeeding him to sleep or in the middle of the night.

Wow!! I didn’t realize that your body just morphs back into shape after a baby. I didn’t think that I would ever look like myself again. My stomach looks like it did pre-preggers. Yeah!! There is a GOD!!

Substituting for yoga is great but somehow I want a gig that will enable me to travel but still be there for my son. Sounds like an oxymoron.

Every parent has high hopes for their children. But one very important quality I would like my son to have is RESPECT for woman. He has to learn how to be a provider…granted I am not a man but I really want my son to be responsible for the children he makes and respectful of the woman in his life.
