I now know the basics of gardening - particularly xerophytes, as they’re my favourite types of planets - and love it to bits. So relaxing and rewarding :)

How I did it: I stopped caring what the rest of the world thought of what makes me happy and just let go, jumped in, and made a metric fecktonne of jokes at Capt. Kirk's expense. Insert babble here about escapism, life sucking beyond my control, fascination with space in general, blah blah blah. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Would you believe me if I said I had no idea? I just...er...gave up, then didn't give up, then gave up again, then didn't give up, then...just wrote. And wrote and wrote and wrote (and angsted) and wrote (and got drunk) and wrote and then on the 29th of November, in the early morning, I had a novel. Read how I did it…

I would totally be up to my armpits in seedlings and dirt and fertiliser right now, if it would JUST. STOP. BLOODY. RAINING.
There was a time when I went through books like nothing on Earth, but over the past few years I’ve noticed that’s slowed down somewhat – I’m not sure why. I could blame university, but seeing as my commute to university takes about three hours…there should hardly be an excuse. So I need to start reading again, probably instead of rolling around on the internet doing nothing. That’d definitely help.
