I am starting to make plans to do this. I am about an 8 hour ride from Monument Valley. I have been talking with a buddy of mine about taking a 3 day weekend to do this. It sounds like something we will get to accomplish this year.

How I did it: I took my wife and son on a tour of the new power plant that we are building in Pueblo, Colorado. I am the Night Shift Superintendent on this project for my company. They had heard me talk of what I did for years but had never really had an idea of the scope of what was involved. They were both commenting on how much bigger everything was than they had imagined. Right from the start these men welcomed me and offered their friendship. I petitioned in July 06 and was raised in July 07. I guess the biggest difference for me is that it makes me think about everything I do. It is like having a friend always by you… Read how I did it…
How I did it: A good friend of mine had signed up for the Parachute Club at Kansas State. I was just sort of invited along and thought it sounded like fun. I guess it’s actually gonna happen. I booked the flights and hotels today. Going to spend 5 days in Egypt and see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the National Museum, the Valley of the Kings, and have dinner with my wife on a Nile Cruise.
My wife gave me the Rosetta Stone software for my birthday last June. I had about a week to mess with it and then my work took over my life. Hopefully in a couple of months I will have more time. I really like how the software works and think I can do well with it. Just gotta quit working 80+ hours a week.
