Get a tattoo
SKYRISH 2 years ago

There are three tattoos in all that I want to get. And I finally worked up the guts to go get my first one. I’m scottish/Irish, or as one of my friends have taken to referring to my heritage “skyrish.” So the tattoo I got is a bracelet—the band is a celtic not for my scot blood, and the charm/medallion is a clover for my irish blood. I’m really glad I did it. I wanted to make sure that whatever I got would be something I was still be proud of in 30 years, and I’m pretty damn proud of my “skyrish” blood. So I’m positive I won’t regret it, and I will always be happy with it.

gauge my ears
6g 2 years ago

So I’m writing this 4 months after I actually got my ears pierced. The picture is right after I got them pierced at 14g’s. I got them pierced during a weekend with Stephen. Stephen did his too. Stephen is going to the navy and had to take his out (we’re staying together), but he got up to and 8g. There are no guidelines as far as I know about Navy Wives’ appearance. So I’m still going strong with my gauging. I’m up to a 6g now. And within the next 2 weeks I plan to move up to a 4g, after that I will go to a 2g and maybe stop there. There is a chance I will go to a 0g but I’m not sure yet.

I will say that the gauging really hurt at first, but now it’s not so bad moving up.

get my lip pierced (read all 2 entries…)
Lip Piercing. 2 years ago

I know I look upset in the picture, I was on my computer and didn’t realize my BFF was about to take a picture of me.

I’m not going to lie. When I got my ear lobes re-pierced with a 14g, It hurt a little bit, but the pain went away in an hour or so. And when I started guaging, that hurt quite a bit, and has gotten easier since. And I have my navel pierced about a year ago, So I have a high pain tolerance, But Again, I said I wouldn’t lie. So I wont.

Getting my lip pierced hurt REALLY bad.
I know the guy who does my piercings personally I met him while he was working
at this really clean piercing/tattoo shop, and I trust him, so I went to his apartment to do it.
When He put the needle through my lip It hurt and then it hurt worse when
I heard and felt a pop. Apparently it doesn’t go through the inside of your lip as easy as it does the outside. and that was the pop I heard. Then
he pulled the needle through a little to a comfortable position and let me sit back for a moment. I was over-joyed that I finally went through with it, but I leaned back and I felt sick, Like I was going to puke, my stomach lurched
and I stood up and ran to the bathroom. His roommate (also a friend of mine) brought me some water while i hung over the toilet. Thank god nothing came up but I was just feeling really hot, and needed to just sit for a moment.
then I was fine.

I kept ice on my lip the first night so it didn’t swell up the next day, but it did just a little the next day. That was a week ago and the swelling is starting to go down. The pain lingered and is just starting to decrease.

Getting this ‘procedure’ done is a lot of pain. (In my expeience.) And I am probably not going to get the other side done until next year, but it is worth it. If you want to do it, then do it, don’t just talk about it. I will warn you WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING….. Work out a way with your work that allows you to wear, I wear a clear retainer ring – with the bead pulled to just inside my lip—to work or a clipped post retainer, and no one seems to mind. Just be careful and be clean.
