At this point in my life, I am not sure if I want to go to college next year. I’ve applied to several schools, but for mental health reasons, I’ve recently struggled with school. There is a part of me, a big part of me, that would like to take the year off and do some volunteer work overseas. I may have found the opportunity to do women’s empowerment in New Delhi. But the question is… do I?
I have always wanted to do this, but I wasn’t sure how my sister felt about it. Then one night, we went out to dinner and she drunkenly suggested it. She wants a white flower on our wrists, but I want a heart on our feet. My sister is the only person in the world I would ever get a matching tattoo with, because I know I’m going to love her for the rest of my life. We’re going to get it next summer, after I have turned eighteen and before I leave home for college.
