We have all heard the “grass is always greener …”. Then again, the grass is always greener where the septic tank is buried.
Your current job is the best reason to move to a new one! The best reasons to start sending out résumé’s is if your current job
1.) is at a professional development dead end
2.) provides compensation that doesn’t keep up with inflation
3.) is so repetitive you dream about it at night
4.) requires you to compromise your family obligations.
5.) defines you as a person
You be who you are—the job is just a means to fund your personality. When your job IS your personality, or your job requires you to ignore your family, its time to look for something new.
