I thought it would be cool to connect all my ties together but in the end I just never found the time and lost motivation aswell. Plus, at the end of the day it would be just another THING that I would have to keep and store or use somehow, would feel bad about getting rid of it one day when we move, etc… so I thought better to give the ties away to the needy. :)
It’s not that important now that I’ve met someone really amazing, and worth marrying even if it ends up being sooner than my previously set goal!
Within reason, it is good to try and get the most out of singleness and so a goal like this really did help me through my teens and earlier 20’s. It helped me not get overly involved in romantic relationships that would have possibly stunted my personality growth and other possibilities to travel and learn…
Now that I’m in a romantic relationship, I’m really enjoying it, and what’s more I do seem to have a better idea of what’s important and what I really appreciate about him and that helps me stick things out, because no relationship is perfectly smooth all the time!
This is good prep for marriage, and so I can happily say that I’m not trying to stay single anymore!! :)
