When I was in gradeschool and high school camping was a regular activity. I would camp with the Girl Scouts at least twice a year. The farthest I’ve gone is on a mountain in Chiba Japan wherein I participated in a Girl Scout exchange program. I’d like to try camping again now that I’m in my twenties. This time perhaps with friends, family or a special someone. =) Nothing beats the great outdoors!

How I did it: I was invited by my classmates at EBC Manila to join them to their hike up Mt. Maculot in Batangas. We left Q.C at 6am, had breakfast at pancake house along SLEX and then started hiking at around 10 am. We arrived near the summit of the mountain at around past lunch time. We had to trek for around 2 hours and it rained most of the time. Thank goodness most of us brought a raincoat. We didn't eat lunch except for the snacks we brough… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was lucky enough that a close friend invited his friends to come and visit Bohol. Within 2 weeks I booked a flight to Bohol and filed for a 4-day vacation leave. I really didn't have a solid plan in mind since I would be with someone who has spent most of his vacations in Bohol. True enough, the island didn't disappoint. I traveled with 2 Pollacks, 1 Spaniard and 1 Pinoy. We hit the beach upon my arrival. Panglao was beautiful although … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I purchased low rate tickets from Zest Air and hooked up with some acquaintances in Bacolod. WE partied hard every night...in bars and on the streets. The food was just awesome (chicken and oysters). Although I missed the actual Festival street dancing you could still feel the energy of the people. Ilonggos from all walks of life were on the streets joining the festivities. It was a wonderful experience...letting go and living life like t… Read how I did it…

At the start of the year, I declared to the universe that I would want to coach the LEAP program in 2009. Initially, I didn’t get a slot because the slots were already filled but by mid January someone had to back out because of pregnancy, thus…I was invited to join the coaching team.
It was a 6-month journey of self awareness, love, commitment, courage and acceptance. I journeyed with 4 unique individuals: Mamu, Ivan, Jun and Michelle. As they worked on themselves and on their goals I discovered more about myself as well.
It was really an enriching experience. I was glad I took this LEAP.

the photos came out nice. Really artistic. It had a bluish tint. My youth is immortalized!
