Not as entertaining as the first time I stayed awake for 96 hours, but an interesting ride nonetheless.
Just don’t do this sort of thing just for the “rush” of it. You want an acid trip, drop acid. It’s probably as harmful to your body if not more so, but at least you’ll get a decent amount of sleep.

It’s worth doing if you have a reason to.
It’s not worth doing if you don’t have a reason to and you think it’ll be fun to see hallucinations and all the pretty colors. Believe me, they’re not that great.
In general, the first time I did this, I began shaking uncontrollably after 53 hours, hallucinating shortly thereafter, my motor functions went completely out of whack at 67 hours, at 74 hours I began to see colors, at around 78 hours I began reversing order (think of it as dyslexia for everything around you, from color to the hairs on your head) and I began steadily going into a deep, all-encompassing hallucination from around 87 hours onwards.
It’s a very, very bad acid trip by that point. I could not get to sleep until I passed out by this point, simply because I no longer had the mental capacity to go to bed and sleep.
Funnily enough, the times I did this afterwards were much less impressive. Minor hallucinations, temporary color blindness, and auditory hallucinations are the major hallmarks to my sleepless nights, and even then they’re not that intense anymore. You build up an immunity to it. At least, I did.

Do it! It’s definitely worth doing. If you love to travel, then definitely do it.
My only advice is figure out how best you and your friends work as a team. Do you work better if you plan ahead? Six months ahead? Tomorrow? Do you work better without plans?
It’s only fun if you can figure out ways to stop problems before they start. If you’re lucky, you’re a bohemian and hang out with other bohemians like me, in which case all this planning is silly.
