I had everything all set: the land, the house, the money and then the town got in the way. Because the township doesn’t want excessive growth they have a limit of 3 acres. Well, when my dad talked to one of the ladies she said it only needed to be 1.5 acres. So we figured everything and submitted the plans. On the day of the board meeting she called and said “oh so sorry it needs to be 3 acres.” I was so crushed. I cried the whole next day. Now I’ve been working on being content where I am.

So the TPR (termination of parental rights) is final… but has been appealed. That means we’re one step closer but an adoption will still be several months out. Progress has also been made in getting more! Maggie joined our family a month ago at 2 days old. We all love having a baby around. In fact just yesterday before she even opened her eyes all the way Zoë got up and asked to hold the baby. Maggie sleeps a lot but her periods of wakefulness are extending.
I’ve decided to build. My parents will divide their land and I’m buying a modular home. That’s where they’re made in a factory and delivered to my site. I’m so excited! It’s a ranch… which I have always been so critical of! But it’s mine so I’ll do some nice landscaping and make do! It looks like May for moving in. YEAH!!!!
