I think it will feel great to have this behind me. I’ll bet many of you feel the same way. It would be great to one day just not have this be something to think about. Still working at it. That’s the only way it will happen, to keep trying and finding things that work.

Hi Friends,
I am keeping my determination to kick the habit. Not yet, but I will get it behind me. I have been making progress – a few days great – then some not great. Sort of works like that so far. Moving forward…
Thanks for all of your cheers. I read them and it does make a difference. I am discovering this is a process. I sometimes am very determined and have a great day with minimal pulling. Then the very next day may not work out so great. So I am keeping with the positive affirmations and other techniques I’ve learned here and elsewhere that I think will work for me. Giving myself a 5 minute break, acting “as if”, praying and meditating to notice negative thoughts and don’t let them have such a large say, etc. I am determined to go from good days to better ones. If anyone else has tried to break this habit and it has taken a while, or seems impossible – don’t be discouraged. If anyone knows it’s not easy -it’s ME. If anyone knows how hard it is to cope with – it’s also me. Keep the faith and keep working on positive approaches. I am slowly making progress. One tiny step forward, then shoved a mile back. So, I get up again and take another step forward. Even if you don’t feel like it, keep trying, let go of things beyond your control and allow things to work for you. Blessings.
