It is one of my favourite things in the world, and im getting semi okay…not that i care, i just like bashing them.
And the last book was awesome.
Initially this seemed more for DNA type purposes… Now after a few years we’re taking it slow and getting to know eachother. Its been a weird ride…
The 70% challenge is a money management tool used to eliminate debt, increase savings and generally better a couples financial fitness.
Basically you live of 70% of your usual allocated budget for 12 weeks. The aim is to save a large amount of money in a short amount of time, for example if you make 1000 a week as a household, your budget would be $700 for everything you need. Its a bit hardcore, it involves haveing weekly money meetings with my fiancee and keeping a hanwritten ledger to keep track of money, but in the end it should all work out for the absolute better.
In the end you get to divy up the savings, 40% to long term savings, 40% to debt and 5% to us each, so i can have some fun cash…
I did this when i was in scouts and gave it to a friend, who used it for a while before it got sticky… totally worth it!
Unfortunately they couldn’t fix it without wiping the hard drive, which is very unfortunate, however I’ll have the internet in under a month, so I’ll just get them all back again…
We just got paid for a pretty major contract, so we’re pumping our cash into getting ourselves a computer that we can use for our business, as well as for home too. I currently only use the computer at work or at other ppls houses, and I really want to change that, so I can manage stuff at work and home easier, because since I became a manager at work its hard to find time with not much to do!!
Stupid signatures didnt match, which sucks. I wish we could let them know we’re us!!! oh well, few more days now…
Done and done. Couldnt be more exited, except now comes all the fun bits, like wanting to buy all the trimmings that go with it. Cant wait to get a digital camera and catch up to the rest of the world!!
I want a builder. The type I can name drop into convo’s with phrases such as “my builder thinks that we should do XYZ” or “I’ve heard they are good plumbers, my builder uses them…”
Also we need to know down a major load bearing wall in our house, so having our builder know what the hell was going on would be awesome!
It wasnt nearly as personal as last time, still awesome, he sung to me durin the concert which was amazing, but all in all it was a bit, well, hollyweird…
His bassist Steve was more awesome than last time…
We met with our finacial planner last week, basically he thinks that a small investment unit is do-able in the next few years, if we use the equity we’re pumping into the house.
I love the idea of units, there is always a market for the cheapest housing avaliable, plus low upkeep from a landlords POV.
So now we have to pump eqity into the house…
It was also my friends birthday, so it wasnt tough to drink. having a few dry weekends coming up though, apart from anything else when 11 pints of guiness fails to do much more than raise the volume of your voice and the amount you swear, you know that your alcohol tolerance is a little to high…
Also got a phone call from my Father which was nice, but not nearly as nice as the one from my brother, who took me out last St Paddys Day when I first found out about my Dad… Its nice when people get it, when they understand…some people are pricks about it, but they dont get what it feels like to live your life with half a family tree.
I dont care, i learned a long time ago that people can say what they want, you just have to harden the F**k up and get over it.
