It’s not through choice. It’s been forced upon me. But I have to learn how to do it. Fortunately I like my own company, but I’m having to give up things I used to like doing, such as walking in the countryside and going to the pub at weekends. I can’t walk on my own (not safe) and going to the pub on your own is no fun. All of my friends are still married and do couply things at the weekends. It’s hard being newly single after nearly thirty years of being part of a couple. Guess I’ll just have to learn.

It’s no good! I’m going to have to give up on this goal, much as it pains me to admit. It’s just that there’s so many books out there and so little time to read them all. I settle down to read it and my eye keeps sliding towards my ‘to read’ pile, lined up enticingly on my coffee table.
I give up!
Haven’t watched any TV for a few days but have been watching The Wire on DVD as I’m completely addicted. Am working my way through Season 4 but will have to wait until September for Season 5 to be released on DVD in the UK. Am contemplating ditching my subscription to Sky, I could buy a lot of DVD’s with the £40 I’d save…..
