I got a B on german coursework, but it was only a few marks off and the teacher gave it an A – it just got moderated down.
Plus, I feel vindicated because everyone else wrote about “Mecdonelds” and Claudia Schiffer, and I did a poem A-level English students struggled with.
Plus, I got into the uni I wanted to, and I wasn’t even wanting to do German.

Get as many as you can; in an ideal world you’d get one in a GP’s, one in A&E, at least one in a hospital ward or clinic you want to specialise in, and as many as you can in different care environments like nursing homes and stuff. You can’t fit them all into your personal statement in detail, but it helps. A lot.

Totally engrossing. Also, it’s about a fifth of my uni personal statement. Definitely worth it.
