How I did it: I saved up a whole bunch of old plastic bags, and reusable grocery bags, and put them in accessible places both at home and at work. I'd often remember right AFTER leaving the room that I needed a bag, and made the decision to go back and get a bag rather than to save a few seconds and keep walking. I also started carrying a slightly larger bag when I went out for a little while, just in case I had the urge to buy something impromptu. Read how I did it…
It’s difficult on days when I’m extremely busy or very upset.
I’ve been reading through old journals and realizing that I really emphasized the negative. Now that time has passed, the negative is what I remember. Some of those events, if I hadn’t written them down, I would have forgotten them by now.
Maybe I’ll keep a journal but only write positive things? Or three positive things for every one negative thing?
